We have elevated our already high standards of hygiene, incorporating additional deep-cleaning and disinfection practices to keep you, and our colleagues, safe. You’ll see us more often in high-traffic areas, frequently sanitising high-touch items such as WCs, door handles, counters, table tops and lift buttons.

 

WHEN YOU CHECK IN

Our colleagues will offer you the same warm welcome as always, but they’ll be behind a Perspex® screen on the check-in desk.

We ask that you use hand sanitiser on arrival and throughout your stay. Hand sanitiser will be readily available throughout the hotel. 

Key cards, pens and credit-card terminals will be disinfected after every use.

We’ll be giving you a bit of space, asking you to take care of your own luggage.

 

IN THE BEDROOMS

We have pared back our furnishings to the essentials. Items such as pens and notepads have been removed for now, but we’ll have them handy in the event you need them.

Our guest information pack will be available online or you can ask for a copy from reception.

We are taking extra time to clean bedrooms to allow us thoroughly to disinfect touch points such as light switches, handles, telephones, TV remotes and table tops.

Bathrooms have always been thoroughly cleaned with a disinfectant solution and we continue to do this with care.

If any of our guests have shown or reported signs of COVID-19 their bedroom will be left empty for 72 hours.

All bed linen and towels, used or unused, are washed after every stay. Our laundry company washes them at 70°C and irons at 200°C.

All crockery and glasses are washed in an industrial washer between stays, whether or not they have been used.

For your safety and that of our colleagues, your room will not be serviced during your stay unless requested.

 

EATING AND DRINKING

Our tables have been spaced out to allow social distancing and we have provided additional seating outside.

Paper menus will be available if required, but food and drink menus can also be viewed online.

Room service deliveries will be placed outside your hotel room door.  

While minimising waste is still a priority, we need to use some pre-packaged items that in normal circumstances we would avoid.

 

BE GOOD TO ONE ANOTHER

Please be mindful of others and respect social distancing rules.

We will limit the number of people in lifts, WCs and our main entrance if necessary.

If you feel unwell and have Covid-19 symptoms in the days leading up to your visit or on the day of check-in please cancel or reschedule your booking with us. Our flexible cancellation policy means there will be no charge for bookings cancelled before 10am on the day of check-in. For advice on symptoms please see NHS 111 online.

If you feel unwell during your stay and show symptoms of COVID-19, please self-isolate and let us know. We’ll get in touch with appropriate health authorities to get you the care you need.

 

HELPING OUR PEOPLE TO HELP YOU

We’ve issued guidance and COVID-19 training to our team.

Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be worn where necessary.

Regular buzzers remind our colleagues to wash their hands frequently and thoroughly.

Social distancing will be implemented in all of our team areas, including kitchens and back-of-house space.

Our colleagues know how to proceed if they or anyone they live with has symptoms of COVID-19.
